When a new European vehicle manufacturer was developing their SUV and pickup range, they needed an accessory partner capable of online production fitment. Few specialist accessory companies in Europe could offer this. EGR was selected to work hand-in-hand with the manufacturer and their contract manufacturing partner.

When a new European vehicle manufacturer was building out their SUV and pickup range, they had a requirement that very few accessory specialists in Europe could meet: accessories fitted online during production, not retrofitted afterwards.
The model meant customers would select their accessories at the point of vehicle order, and those accessories would be fitted during manufacture at the French production facility. This required EGR to work directly with both the OEM and their contract manufacturing partner, Magna, across design, logistics and production integration.
EGR was selected following evaluation as the partner with the engineering capability, OEM process standards and manufacturing discipline to make it work.

The programme required a three-way collaboration between EGR, the OEM and contract manufacturer Magna. EGR's role extended beyond accessory engineering into production integration, logistics sequencing and quality management within the OEM's own manufacturing environment.
Accessories must be at the line in the right sequence, at the right time, to the right quality standard. Every accessory fitted online requires its own production integration plan, signed off through the OEM's and Magna's own quality gates.
EGR works alongside both the OEM and their contract manufacturer from programme kick-off through to SOP.
